  • I am conducting research on Japanese Language Education as International Citizenship Education based on Plurilingualism and Pluriculturalism (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research C), as well as research on Foreign Language Education for Developing Competence for Democratic Culture: For East Asian Countries to Live Together (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research C)

Educational Pursuits 【 display / non-display 】

  • As a fuculty member of Center for the International Education, I promoted the global education by accepting international students and sending Japanese students. I held "11th International Student Forum" with studentsat Vassar College. As a member of the faculty of the Global Studies for Inter-Cultural Cooperation I conducted remote joint-classes of Japanese language and culture with universities in the world.As a member of the faculty of Japanese Language Education as a Second Language I conducted a program for Plurilingual and Pluricultural Education at BUFS, Korea, as well as the Japanese Language Education Training at UNSW, Australia, and students participated in these programs.

  • I'll continue to promote projects like below.
    1)A new style of holistic second language education as international citizenship education.
    2)Semantic analysis on Japanese polysemous verbs.
