It is important to investigate the appropriate fat intake for the prevention from obesity and life-style related diseases. Especially, we are interested in the biological function of fatty acids. We have been studied the relationship between the food and metabolic syndrome using both of cell culture system and animal model.
We investigated the association between the levels of non-HDL and fatty acid composition of red blood cell membrane in Japanese men.
We also the effects of vitamin E analogues and some derivatives of polyphenols on the glucose tolerance of obese mice.
