Research Pursuits 【 display / non-display 】

  • (1) I've been conducting a research project entitled as "The applicability of expressive writing for reemployment program" on a grant-in-aid from JSPS since 2012.
    (2) In collaboration with my graduate students, I conducted research projects on health risk behaviors of adolescents.

Educational Pursuits 【 display / non-display 】

  • I taught classes related to clinical psychology and health psychology. Graduate courses that I taught were Health Psychology and Seminar in Health Psychology. Particular emphases were placed on empirical research in these classes. Undergraduate courses involved Current Issues in Clinical Psychology and Research Methods in Clinical Psychology.

    I chaired 4 senior theses & 1 master's thesis, and co-chaired four doctoral theses. I also reviewed 3 master's theses.

    I co-taught a class under the Ochanomizu Summer Program, "Contemporary Perspectives on Social Policy, Education, Family and Development.

Future Research Plans, Research Prospects, and Joint Research Potential 【 display / non-display 】

  • My primary focus centers around psychosocial factors related to various health-related behaviours. In particular, I've been interested in pathological eating behaviors and body image issues among young women.

    The secondary focus is related to emotional ability. I've just started a collaborative study with educational psychologists to discuss the development of emotional ability among children.
