Research Pursuits 【 display / non-display 】

  • He is studying thinking, reasoning, and meaning. In particular, he challenges the question of whether and how higher-level thinking with logically distinctive concepts can be realized in visual representations (as in natural language). He is also interested in intention inference and aesthetic judgment. He takes an integrated approach of logic/philosophy, cognitive science, and AI, including performance comparisons of human and AI models.
